Samsung Infuses “Ultra-Compact” Digicam ST5500 with Wi-fi

Are you planning to camp in the remote forests this summer? Is it an overnight African Safari that you are contemplating to experience over the next week-end? How about carrying a device to capture stunning still photographs or those amazing, live videos, and then sharing them with your friends? Samsung has introduced a sleek, Wi-fi enabled digicam, ST5500 to give feathers to your imagination at shooting live moments.

It is Indeed a Digicam, not a Phone

  • At just 0.77 inch thickness and a horde of features, the ultra-slim ST5500 paves the path for compact camera’s future.
  • Samsung touts its point-and-shoot digicam with14.2 mega pixel photo sensor, a 7x optical zoom and lens from Schneider-Kreuznach.
  • The digicam has an impressive 3.7 inch AMOLED touch-screen combined with Smart Gesture UI to enable finger swiping to navigate the menus.
  • You can experience intuitive photography with added comfort (according to Samsung) as the digicam is angled at 7 degrees!
  • Samsung has implemented the ‘da Vinci-inspired design’ in this model’s lens technology. As the lens barrel extends when the camera is on, the image specifications – aperture and focal length – appear in lens ring through a reflective surface. This, Samsung says has been inspired from da Vinci’s style of writing backwards.
  • You can tilt and view photos or navigate through menus with ease as the digicam has an in-built accelerometer.
  • The most hyped attribute of this camera is its built-in wireless support for uploading or emailing pictures through Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity. ST5500 is DLNA compatible, so you can share photos with other DLNA devices. What more, you can even upload content to Facebook or YouTube.
  • Samsung has crammed its compact camera with still more features like GPS, Bluetooth, 720p HD video recording, integrated HDMI port, 100MB internal memory plus microSD slot and dual image optical stabilization.
  • You can further enhance the photographs, as the camera has exclusive features such as blink detection, touch focus, special shooting modes, face recognition and a few more.

Whether it is your birthday bash or an exclusive vacation, you can let yourself loose on a shooting spree and share your art at photography with your friends all at the touch or swipe of your fingers.
